Flex, take 2...

Parabol at the Kamot
Just like two years ago we are going to play at the Kamot in Klagenfurt again this Christmas. But unlike the last time, Polman Reisen will show up - one more reason for us to look forward to this year's Christmas-concert. Please see dates for further info and gigs.

Flu, not Flex
As half of the Parabol crew is struggling with various viral infects and a serious temperature, today's gig at the Flex will have to be cancelled. Naturally, we're the last to be sorry about this, especially since we'd been looking forward to the 10-year-anniversary for a long time. Meanwhile, we’re working on a make-up date in December, when everybody should have convalesced...

FM4 Soundselection # 12 features Parabol
The Vienna-based radio station FM4 is releasing its annual (sometimes biannual) "Soundselection". The first CD features international music while the second disc focuses on local acts. When our single climbed from # 14 to # 13 in last week's FM 4 charts, it leaped to position 9 this week. "Far Away" in the top ten; let's see what is still to come.

Parabol in Hungary
In July, Parabol will visit Hungary. This is a small excerpt of the announcement: "A Parabol az osztrák indie-gitárpop színtér egyik legígéretesebb új reménysége. A zenekar debütáló nagylemeze, a Sorry Satellite a "sógorok" egyik legéleterősebb független hanglemezkiadójánál a Shoenwetternél látott napvilágot idén." For further information go to dates.

"Sorry Satellite" has arrived
April 4 is the day: Parabol's first album, "Sorry Satellite", will be released as catalougnumber 004 on schoenwetter schallplatten label. The CD will be distributed by edel and will be available everywhere on the market. It was mixed by Mario Thaler (Uphon Studios, Weilheim), mastered by Kai Blankenberg (Skyline Studios, Dusseldorf) and recorded in Sekirn in Carinthia.

We will present the album live on April 7 at Chelsea, Vienna, and we are looking forward to seeing you all there. You can find a little appetizer for our first single, "Far Away", on the ink-website.
